Making Exercise as Part of Your Regular Routine
Even if you exercise regularly, you’re not immune to the negative effects of repeatedly sitting for prolonged periods of time. Yes, I know. Exercising can seem overwhelming when we think of “Lots of work”. This article is not about going to the gym a few days a week (I know it’s hard nowadays).
I was thinking of doing an exercise routine that would be more fun for you. Wouldn’t it be great if we could do some work while we worked, ran errands, and did other tasks we do every day? Let’s review some ideas…
Here is a checklist to follow while exercising indoors:
A) When working:
- Take a walk while you are on the phone.
- Exercise during your lunch break if you can.
- Exercise during breaks if you work at home.
- For lunch, walk to the restaurant or park far away.
- Every 90 minutes or so, set a timer and walk around.
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible.
- Instead of calling or sending emails, walk and talk to coworkers.
- Use a bike to get to work or park far away so that you can walk more.
- Do some stretches or walk around every certain amount of time if you have a timer.
- Consider inviting your clients to active social routines instead of lunch or dinner rather than fitness classes.
B) In your own home:
- Cleaning is also exercise! Keep cleaning.
- You can play video games with your kids about dancing.
- You and your pet both benefit from playing with your dog.
- While cleaning or doing errands around the house, turn on the TV and dance.
- During commercial breaks, do some push-ups, walk on the treadmill, or do some exercises.
32GB MP3 Player
With a spacious 32GB internal memory, you can store a large amount of lossless music and also use it as a U disk. And if you need even more space, you can expand it up to 64GB with an SD card.
Follow these tips while exercising
1. Have fun while exercising
We don’t think about time when we’re having fun. Why not watch TV, read a book, or listen to music while exercising? To prevent boredom during workouts, this is a good idea. Watching music videos I like and dancing are two things I do to exercise. It is a lot of fun!
2. Keep track of your progress at all times
Keep a journal and keep track as much as you can. Foods you eat, your weight, and how many glasses of water you drink are things you can track.
The things you do will surprise you, and you will be able to review and correct them.
3. Exercise with your family and friends
Play some games at home with your kids (and your kids too!) Also, if you have friends or a partner, you can join a virtual exercise group. You can also do some outdoor routines, such as walking or running.

4. Get active while running errands
When you think about it, you can always make more exercise routines while running errands. You should take the stairs instead of the elevator if you are going to the mall or an office building. Whenever you go into or out of stores, walk longer distances or park your car far away so you can walk more.
5. How to deal with bad weather
It is not always a bad thing to have bad weather, such as rain or snow. Indoor exercise is still possible. You can walk in the mall, use the stairs at home, or use a treadmill if you have one.
